“Buyers’ Market” To Boost Home Sales, Opportunities for REALTORS®

In her latest podcast, 2007 NAR President Pat Vredevoogd Combs discusses the latest outlook for the real estate market in the year ahead and how REALTORS® can help more consumers take advantage of this “buyers market.”

Every month we are seeing more and more evidence that the housing market hit bottom last fall. Existing home sales are trending up, not down. And the overall supply of homes on the market has stabilized. Now is the best time for Realtors to reach out to potential home buyers in our markets and talk to them about all of the opportunities.

NAR has some great resources to help you. Recently, we launched a “Buy Now” Campaign to highlight the opportunities for homebuyers in the current market. Earlier this month, NAR also announced it is airing two new television advertisements as part of our $40 million Public Awareness Campaign. The ads highlight the theme “Every market’s different, call a REALTOR® today.” All of our new ads are available online at the Public Awareness Campaign Web site – www.realtor.org/awareness campaign.
